My heart breaks when thinking about the harassment that was made to this young girl . I am glad this prosecutor and the state of Boston are making examples of these juvenile delinquents!  I hope they are charged with the maximum penalty. Their parents should also really look deeply into the behavior these children by seeking psychiatric care for them. That you girl life was cut short because she could no longer take the constant stalking and psychological pain from something that went beyond teasing. These are not the only kids being horrid bullies but also take in account the group of teenagers who take pleasure in beating another person. Teenagers like that are dangerous to society because they are showing signs of being a homicidal person.

HADLEY, Mass. - Lawyers for three teenage girls accused of participating in the bullying of a 15-year-old girl who committed suicide entered not guilty pleas Thursday on their behalf to charges including civil rights violations and criminal harassment.

Ashley Longe, Sharon Chanon Velazquez and Flannery Mullins, all 16, did not appear in Franklin-Hampshire Juvenile Court for their arraignments.

A judge ordered them to have no contact with the family of Phoebe Prince, a South Hadley High School freshman who hanged herself in January after what prosecutors called an "unrelenting" three-month bullying campaign by six teenagers. Prosecutors say Prince was targeted after she briefly dated a popular boy.

Tyra Banks To End Talk Show - News Story | Music, Celebrity, Artist News | MTV News

I only watched her talk show a few times. but any ways I am happy she’s trying a new venture. Hopefully it will be successful for her.

_{Tyra Banks will end her Emmy-winning talk show, "The Tyra Show," after five seasons, it was announced Monday (December 28). The model-turned-mogul said that the show's current season will be its last.} "This will be the last season of 'The Tyra Show,' " Banks told People. "I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past five years."

The show, which earned Banks two Daytime Emmy Awards, will end its run in spring 2010. Over the years, Banks used the show to empower young women and even address her critics. In an infamous episode, Banks appeared in a bathing suit telling her harshest critics, who had criticized her for gaining weight, to "kiss my fat ass." Recently, Banks also took off her hair weave.

The Senate passed a historic $871 billion health care reform bill Thursday morning, handing President Obama a Christmas Eve victory on his top domestic priority.The bill passed in a 60-39 party line vote after months of heated partisan debate. Every member of the Democratic caucus backed the measure; every Republican opposed it.Republican Sen. Jim Bunning of Kentucky -- a staunch opponent of the bill -- was the lone senator to miss Thursday's vote. Should it become law, the measure would constitute the biggest expansion of federal health care guarantees since the enactment of Medicare and Medicaid more than four decades ago. It is expected to extend insurance coverage to 30 million additional Americans."We are now finally poised to deliver on the promise of real, meaningful health insurance reform that will bring additional security and stability to the American people," Obama said shortly after the vote.

WASHINGTON - Presidents get elected to run the nation. Some days that means knowing how to heal it.

For the first time since winning the White House, President Barack Obama faces such a moment Tuesday at Fort Hood. After a shooting that left 13 people dead and 29 wounded on the bustling Texas Army post, it is Obama's job to offer some comfort, if not answers.

Obama will do so privately with the families of those killed, and then publicly at a memorial service sure to be watched by American troops around the world.

He and first lady Michelle Obama left Washington early Tuesday for a trip that will also take them to a visit with wounded troops in the hospital.

At least 3,000 people are expected to attend the memorial service. They include the families of the 13 victims, as well as some of those wounded and their families, said Lt. General Robert Cone, the post commander. The event is open to the public.

(CBS) Two days a week, 11-year-old Jonathan McCoy is at the gym with his mother.

But when this sixth grader is not working out, he is exercising another muscle of sorts, speaking truth to power.

"According to the definition of the n-word, an n-word will never be a lawyer, a doctor or a teacher," said McCoy.

CBS News Chief National correspondent Byron Pitts reports McCoy is on a mission to abolish the n-word.

"It is implausible that 40 years after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., that we still use this word that holds no worth in our lives and our future." McCoy said.

In March, he gave a powerful speech about eliminating the n-word. More than 1,500 congregants at the Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, Md., heard his message. "You gave your speech the adults were applauding," Pitts asked McCoy. "What did you think about that?"

McCoy replied, "I think that I am getting to them. I am getting people who are ready for a change."

McCoy is not a childhood preacher, nor is he an activist in the making. But last February, when he couldn't think of anything else to talk about for a speech competition - McCoy came up with the idea to write about the n-word. He won the competition.

Pitts asked, "why the n-word? Why write about that?"

Well the little boy is fine

We can all breathe a sigh of relief because he was actually at home. not in the helium balloon.  Falcon was hiding in his attic while the whole world thought he was in a the balloon.  Crazy that his parents didn’t look in the attic but their son told them he went into the balloon so since they thought that they of course thought he was missing.

Was a missing boy ever on board?

Apparently not.

In a bizarre spectacle televised live, a homemade balloon lifted off from a Ft. Collins, Colo., home Thursday and sailed for two hours and more than 60 miles before softly landing in a field.

But contrary to initial reports that 6-year-old Falcon Heene – the son of a thrill-seeking reality show couple – had climbed into the helium-filled and released the rope holding it to the ground, it now seems he was at home all along – hiding in the attic of his family's garage.

Speaking to reporters on the lawn of the family's house after his son's recovery, Richard Heene said that Falcon had become frightened after he yelled at him for playing too close to a box containing the battery of an experimental aircraft Richard was building. "My biggest fear was the he would become electrocuted," Richard explained.

Falcon then apparently went back into the house and hid out in the garage – and remained in hiding when he saw TV trucks pull up outide the house.

"He always the last in line but he's always the first up a ladder," Richard said of his adventurous son.

During an afternoon filled with drama, the silver balloon flew thousands of feet high and was chased by news helicopters as TV viewers everywhere watched and wondered about the young boy's fate.

The ABC television network confirms that Falcon is the son of Richard and Naomi Heene, who appeared on Wife Swap. The couple also has two other sons, Bradford and Ryo.

Asked if he would punish his son for causing so much concern, Richard said, "This was a relief. We are going to watch him a lot closer now."

The one in the middle is falcon.

The doctor who operated on a now-brain dead Florida woman last week did not know the spa where he performed liposuction on her was not licensed to offer the treatment, his lawyer said today.

"Dr. Brito was unaware of the licenses that were obtained by the clinic or the licenses enforced by the clinic," Brian Bieber, Dr. Omar Brito's criminal defense attorney, told ABC's "Good Morning America" today.

Rohie Kah, 37, visited the Weston MedSpa in Weston, Fla., Sept. 25, a facility the registered nurse had frequented for services such as massages and manicures, her lawyers said.

ut at some point during the procedure that was scheduled to last two hours, something went "terribly wrong," Kah's lawyer, Michael Freedland, said.

"A 37-year-old, healthy mother of three shouldn't go into a medical spa for a routine procedure and come out brain dead," he said.

Paramedics who responded to the emergency described Kah as "not breathing, no pulse and unresponsive" when they arrived at the Weston MedSpa Friday.

MORROW, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - The FBI said Monday that they were investigating a potential hate crime at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Morrow. Morrow police said a man yelled racial slurs as he punched and kicked a woman who was going into the restaurant last week.

Tasha Hill, who is a U.S. Army Reservist, said she was walking the Cracker Barrel restaurant with her 7-year-old daughter when a man punched her, kicked her and yelled racial slurs.

"I just remember curling up in a ball to protect myself," said Hill.

Hill, a 35-year-old Army Reservist, said she was with her 7-year-old daughter when she was beaten.

"He punched me several times in the head and I can't remember if that's where he was kicking me," said Hill.

Morrow police charged 47-year-old Troy West with assault, disorderly conduct and cruelty to children.

"He was coming out of the location, almost hit the girl with the door and real politely the lady says, by all witness counts, 'you almost hit my daughter, will you please excuse yourself.' [West] punched [Hill], put her to the ground and kicked her," said Commander Jimmy Callaway of the Morrow Police Department.

Police said the whole incident was caught on videotape which they say has now been turned over to the FBI. The FBI is investigating the incident as a potential hate crime because of repeated racial slurs.

"I let him know I was a U.S. service member. I didn't want any trouble, but he continued to call me names and punched me in the face," said Hill.

Hill's 7-year-old daughter watched the incident.

"She kept apologizing afterward because she wanted to go to the specific restaurant. I said, 'it's not your fault that man had the devil in him,' that's what I told her," said Hill.

Hill said she had knots all over her head and she has been in and out of the VA hospital because of a numb arm, swelling and headaches.

West declined to comment on the case.

She fought for this country and she  beating and kick like she was not human . No human being man or female should be treated that way . What makes it even more horrible is that her daughter witness this! I hope this man is convicted for this crime and serves many years behind bars!

 Patrick Swayze, the balletically athletic actor who rose to stardom in the films “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost” and whose 20-month battle with advanced pancreatic cancer drew wide attention, died Monday. He was 57.

His publicist, Annett Wolf, told The Associated Press in Los Angeles that Mr. Swayze died with family at his side.

Mr. Swayze’s cancer was diagnosed in January 2008. Six months after that, he had already outlived his prognosis and was filmed at an airport, smiling at photographers and calling himself, only half-facetiously, “a miracle dude.” He even went through with plans to star in “The Beast,” a new drama series for A&E, and filmed a complete season while undergoing treatment. Mr. Swayze insisted on continuing with the series. “How do you nurture a positive attitude when all the statistics say you’re a dead man?” he said to Bill Carter of The New York Times last October. “You go to work.”

The show, on which he plays an undercover F.B.I. agent, had its premiere in January and earned him admiring reviews.

A week before the series began, Mr. Swayze was the subject of a one-hour “Barbara Walters Special” on ABC, talking about his illness. “I keep my heart and my soul and my spirit open to miracles,” he told Ms. Walters. But he said he was not going to pursue every experimental treatment that came along. If he were to “spend so much time chasing staying alive,” he said, he wouldn’t be able to enjoy the time he had left. “I want to live,” he said.
