In Bad Teacher, a comedy about romantic rivalry, their characters connect when Diaz, 37 – playing an opportunistic, profanity-spewing middle-school teacher – gets dumped and sets her sights on Timberlake, 29, the school's already spoken for model instructor, according to Variety.

Although they played voice parts in Shrek the Third (Timberlake as a royal nephew to Diaz's ogre queen Fiona), the former lovers have never before acted together in the flesh.

J.T. headed to Switzerland on business, where as an Audi ambassador he introduced the Audi A1 at the Geneva auto show solo.

But he still made time for Jess, who turned 28 yesterday, and who joined him on the trip.

The happy couple was spotted leaving their hotel arm in arm on Wednesday. On Sunday, the dour duo actually looked cheerful when they went sledding in Verbier, a nearby town.

Last year, they celebrated Jess' birthday stateside, catching a Broadway show in the Big Apple before doing dinner at Oak Room.

I have always been a fan of hers and my heart broked for her because of the anguish that John cause her for putting her dirty laundry out in the open. I am glad she found a silver lining to it.  I also know firsthand about her struggle with weight I mean I wish I was a size 6 but I am not . I hope I will be in the near future because I am overweight for my height of 5’4. She has it harder because of the constant limelight that follows her every move . She has to deal with the scrutiny of people who does not have a clue of what a person whose overweight looks like!, because Jessica is far from fat and is definitely not overweight!}

Nick Lachey is just as devastated as Jessica Simpson that their pooch was snatched by a coyote last month.

"I think a lot of people forget that Daisy was my dog too -- for years," Lachey, 35, who gifted the five-year-old maltipoo to his ex wife, 29, tells Access Hollywood.

Lachey -- who has been promoting his reverse auction site, Winnit.com --  admits he's been thinking about Simpson a lot after hearing about Daisy's fate.

"I didn't reach out to her," he says. "I'm sure she was upset ... I was upset ... It was sad to hear that happened, but it's part of the cycle of life."

After Simpson's pup was grabbed by the coyote near her Los Angeles home, she wrote on Twitter: "A coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"

She also hired a professional dog finding service to contact 1,000 neighbors and offered a reward -- but called off the search within three days.
